Mistakes are meant to be made thats why "mistakes" are here...but one must learn from one's mistakes but better still from mistakes of others....but the most important thing is to recognise and accept one's mistake and remedy if possible....that's it

And yet not doing anything new can be a mistake in itself.
Mistakes are here for us to learn from it, everyone does mistakes. Some are forgiveable, and some are not.
