I believe Karma truly exists and is the only natural and true law that can balance our actions in one way or another. Good karma reaps good rewards and bad karma brings about opportunities for the sould to redeem itself. Re-indulging in bad karma will only worsen the souls condition whereas keep doing good will only elevate the soul spiritually.

As in the example of Hitler - he seems to have been destructive but was he acting by his own self? There are theories that he might have been under the influence of stronger destructive forces that pushed him against his will to do what he did.

Our individual lives are shaped by the karma we have acquired in a previous life. Nagging persistent problems having seemingly no cause might be part of our karma acquired in previous lives.

To avoid accumulating bad karma lets simply do no harm where we can do no good.
